Every few weeks someone asks me about partner codes. Same question every time: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
No. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code doesn't change that.
Partner code 128979 gets you access to the deposit bonus. Extra funds in your account based on how much you put in. Nothing more complicated than that.
How much do you get?
Deposit $1,000 and get $200.
Deposit $2,000 for $400 bonus.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
Where to enter the code
Registration page. After you enter your phone number, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with AvaTrade Partner Code - 128979 an arrow next to it. Click on that text. A field drops down. Type **128979**.
Easy to miss since it's collapsed by default.
If the system rejects it, don't panic. Complete your registration. Reach out to your account manager first. Tell them you want 128979 applied. Standard practice for them.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
There's a volume requirement.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.
Your own money stays yours. Access it whenever you need. The bonus stays locked until you hit the volume.
One thing worth knowing: locked bonus funds still contribute to your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
